Code of Conduct

The workshop Johannes Klais Orgelbau GmbH & Co. KG in Bonn, is devoted since 1882 to the building of pipe organs for churches and concert halls all over the world, to the delight and uplifting of many people. The main source of our creativity is respect: respect for the rights of others, to the music, and to the room.

 

The fruitful cooperation in the development of these instruments is based on the following principles:

We consider environmental protection, health and safety to be integral part of our social responsibility.

 

5 DEALING WITH POLITICAL INSTITUTIONS AND AUTHORITIES

We maintain correct and legally impeccable relations with all governmental and regulatory authorities.

 

6 TRUST AND RESPECT

We are respectful and trusting with each other. We provide a work environment that is free from discrimination and harassment.

 

7 OPEN DEBATE

We encourage our employees to mention freely criticism, suggestions and ideas without fear of reprisals. Employees who express concerns about operations in the company in good faith will not experience any disadvantages.

We comply with the applicable laws and regulations, when we collect, store, process or transmit personal data and information.

 

9 HANDLING WORKSHOP PROPERTY

We deal responsibly with workshop property or other assets of the company and use them only for their intended purposes.

 

10 CONFLICTS OF INTEREST

We disclose potential or actual conflicts of interest and resolve these as quickly as possible.

 

11 FINANCIAL INTEGRITY AND FIGHTING FRAUD

We conduct our business, record keeping and financial reporting properly and transparent.

 

12 PROTECTION AGAINST CORRUPTION AND BRIBERY

We refrain from any illegal activities such as corruption, bribery or kickbacks.

 

13 GIFTS AND ENTERTAINMENT

We are committed to transparency in giving and receiving gifts and entertainment and thus ensure compliance with company policies and applicable law.

 

14 ANTI TRUST LAW

We comply with applicable antitrust and competition law and rely on expert advice on antitrust and competition law issues.

 

15 PROTECTION OF INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

We respect and protect intellectual property of any kind, whether it was produced by our company or third parties. We point out, if we cite the intellectual property of others.

 

16 USE AND SECURITY OF IT SYSTEMS

We use the IT systems provided by our company to fulfill our tasks, and contribute to the protection of these systems and devices from internal and external threats.

 

17 CONFIDENTIALITY AND PUBLIC RELATIONS

We protect confidential information about our workshops, products and services and other sensitive data from unauthorized disclosure or misuse.

 

18 INFORMATION ABOUT PRODUCTS AND SERVICES

We do not give any intentionally misleading or false information in dealing with prospects and customers.

 

19 INDEPENDENT AND RESPONSIBLE REPORTING

We observe editorial and journalistic independence in the acquisition and dissemination of news.
